SOMETHING BOOKISH READING CHALLENGE

2025 Challenge

Welcome to the 7th edition of the Something Bookish Reading Challenge!

If you’re new here, welcome to the club, I’m absolutely thrilled to have you on board for this epic literary escapade. If you’re a regular, you already know the drill: I’m your biggest fan, and I can’t wait to dive into a treasure trove of books, authors, and cultures together. Consider this your official hype-up moment.

The Something Bookish Reading Challenge is like a passport for your bookshelf; 24 exciting prompts designed to catapult you out of your reading comfort zone and whisk you around the globe, one page at a time.

The mission? To discover books you might never have picked up otherwise, broaden your horizons, and maybe even fall head over heels for some unexpected favourites.

Here’s the lowdown:
  • Check off as many prompts as you can from the list below.
  • Find one magical book that ticks multiple boxes? Count it for all—it’s your party!
  • There’s no leaderboard here, so forget the pressure and just enjoy the ride.
  • Feel free to interpret the prompts however your bookish heart desires.

The goal? To make this challenge as fun and uniquely you as possible. Let’s get reading! This year, I want to challenge you to dig into your TBR and choose books you already own.  To help cheer you on, I’ll be sharing recommendations on our Instagram. You can also stay close to the community page on Storygraph where fellow readers will be adding books to each prompt.

Be sure to share your progress by using the hashtag #somethingbookish24 or #SomethingBookishReadingChallenge or #SBReadingChallenge.
